Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
